Dear Editor,

To all the wonderful people who keep things ticking at CVH, and to whom I owe my life: paramedics, ER staff, surgeons, hospitalists, RNs and LPNs, care workers, cleaners, and those persons who work in the nether regions finding out what is wrong with us in the first place; I can't say enough good things about you. Overworked as you are, and often in an overcrowded environment, you nevertheless provide exemplary care with kindness and a smile.  A very special thank you to the staff on 3D, and I can't forget the cafeteria staff and those lovely women in the gift shop! In the more than two months I spent in hospital, I came to know some of you rather well.

Now I wish you all the best Christmas season you can possibly have, and may Santa fill your stockings with enough love and cheer to last the whole year through.
