Letter: Closing Fifth Street to traffic may exclude those with mobility challenges

Dear editor, Closing Fifth Street to traffic for some might sound great, but try to understand what it would be like for the people who have trouble walking.

Dear editor,

Closing Fifth Street to traffic for some might sound great, but try to understand what it would be like for the people who have trouble walking. They may need a cane, a walker or a wheelchair which makes it very difficult to get to Fifth Street from your proposed parking lots.

We need to include every shopper, not just the ones who have no trouble walking; that's just my way of thinking.
