In loving memory ~
Mary Jane Ann Graham was born in Nakusp, B.C., and worked as a telephone operator in the Comox Valley, where she met and married Hugh Clair in 1955.
Together they raised a family of seven children. Alongside Hugh, Ann operated several local businesses including Clair Supply, the Woodstove Warehouse, and the Campbell River Garden Centre. In addition to running a small hobby farm, Ann was an accomplished baker who made many wedding and birthday cakes for Comox Valley families. Ann was a track and field athlete in her youth and loved playing softball with her children and grandchildren. She also made a mean home-brew IPA.
Ann was pre-deceased by Hugh in 2020. She is survived by her eldest sister Myrtle Craig; her 7 children; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
There will be a celebration of life for Ann and Hugh Clair on June 24, 2023, at the Comox Legion. For more information please email trish@crosscanadafiddle.com
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Glacier View Lodge, where Ann received excellent care for many years.
