At the Comox Marina today (April 21) North Island - Powell River NDP candidate Tanille Johnston was joined by party leader, Jagmeet Singh at a rally to promote her in the federal race.
Over 100 people attended the event. Johnston thanked the crowd for showing up and family members for travelling from far away to attend.
Singh spoke second and talked about uniting to defeat the Conservative Party of Canada by voting for Johnston.
"We are all one," said Singh as the crowd started chanting "N-D-P" after he spoke.
This visit marks the first time one of the federal party leaders has been in the Comox Valley.
Today is the last day for advanced voting. Regular voting takes place on April 28 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m..
