Rifflandia, a large-scale music festival in Victoria, is set to return Sept. 11-14, marking its 15th edition with a return to four days of programming and no increase to ticket prices.
“We know a lot of people are feeling the pinch right now, so we’ve kept ticket prices at last year’s levels and packed in even more — an extra day of music, more chances to come together, and more of the energy that makes this festival so special," said Nick Blasko, president and CEO of Rifflandia Entertainment Co., in a press release.
Tickets for the festival, which features multiple stages, food vendors, craft beer areas, and various attractions, go on pre-sale May 2. The lineup will be announced on May 7, and all tickets will go on sale May 9.
On April 4, the festival released a – two cherries on a shared stem, normally in colour – in gold, with no other information, having fans speculating on its meaning and who the headliner might be.
Last year's headliners included TLC, Rezz, Feist, The Beaches, Oliver Tree, and Ja Rule.
In 2024, Rifflandia transitioned from a six-day, two-weekend, two-venue setup to a more streamlined three-day, single-weekend, single-venue format. According to Blasko, who spoke to Victoria News last year, the change aimed to simplify planning and decision-making for both organizers and festivalgoers.
Ticket types will be the same this year, including super passes, single day, friend and family packs, and kids passes. There is also VIP, for those who want to elevate their on-site amenities, Pods ("like an arena box, but at a festival," the press release reads), and Supper Club, which offers an elevated food experience.
The Dome, a popular covered, custom-built stage specifically designed for electronic music performances, will return at almost 8,000 square feet.
The Festival Merch Collection will blend local, vintage and high-quality design, according to the press release, with some "fun surprise collabs."
"Stay tuned – this summer is going to be golden," the press release reads.
