Everyone is invited to the Comox Valley Art Gallery on Thursday evening, June 15, to celebrate the opening of the new exhibition “Together Apart/Under One Roof.”

Refreshments will be served starting at 5 p.m., and the artist talks begin at 6 p.m.

The exhibition includes the work of three renowned Canadian artists, Aganetha Dyck, Reva Stone, and Diana Thorneycroft, who have shared a studio in Winnipeg for the past 28 years.

“Together Apart/Under One Roof” celebrates their distinct practices, and their enduring relationship as artists, women, and friends.

“We deeply respect each other’s practices and exhibiting together is a wonderful way to celebrate what we feel is a very special relationship,” the artists say of their work.

Stone and Thorneycroft will speak at the opening in person, while Dyck will be joining virtually.

The event will also be live-streamed for people who want to participate online. Watch the CVAG Facebook page or website for the link.

The exhibition will run until Oct. 28. CVAG is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

CVAG events and exhibitions are free, with donations gratefully accepted.
