The North Island Festival of Performing Arts is hosting a community information chat about dance careers, professional development and opportunities for young, emerging artists.

This evening is open to everyone, including parents, teachers and dancers.

It happens Feb. 24, 6:30 p.m. at the Sid Williams Theatre for no charge.

Speaker Andrea Gunnlaugson runs free seminars and conferences through Dancers Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) in Vancouver for dancers in all stages of their career.

They could be at the starting point, mid-career or retiring.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring dancers in the Comox Valley.

The format is open to those needing to come and go.

Visit www.dtrc.ca for more information on DTRC.
