Join the Comox Valley Rotary Club on Thursday, Sept. 26 for an evening of contemporary jazz at the Native Sons Hall with a fun 1920s theme.
Vancouver-born Cara Matthew has a unique talent for transforming pop singles into jazz numbers.
Described as one of Canada鈥檚 up and coming jazz artists, Matthew has three albums to her credit and will be in Courtenay for one night only.
Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8. Come early and enjoy a 鈥�20s-era drink or snack from the cash bar and peruse the silent auction items. Feel free to arrive in 鈥�20s attire. All funds raised will support the CVRC鈥檚 community initiatives.
