Art can transport people to a different time and location, helping to take their mind off of pain.
Some believe colour has a direct effect on energy lines in the body, healing specific ailments. Art has been used to soothe the soul and evoke emotions. It is definitely a great conversation-starter.
Koster Wellness Centre is displaying 19 different local artists鈥� work until April 8. The theme for this show is Light, and submissions were accepted on what light means to the artist. Wintertime in the Valley can be dreary, so the intention is to bring light, enjoyment and love into people鈥檚 lives.
There are more than 35 art pieces in mixed media gracing the walls of the healing centre. A wide range of artists鈥� ages, experience and style complement each other.
