The Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society, MARS, held its inaugural Wildlife Festival Saturday, March 17, at two locations - Merville hall, and MARS鈥檚 new Wildlife Rescue Facility.
The Wildlife Facility was offering guided tours of the facility, including close-up views of the regularly off-limits rehab cages.
The Merville Hall hosted several information booths and a large taxidermy display, as well as a special presentation by Gary Allan and his wolf, Tundra.
The new Wildlife Festival replaces the Bald Eagle Festival, which took place annually at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River.
