The Vancouver Island Herb Gathering is delighted to make a donation of $1,500 to the Wachiay Friendship Center.

The contribution was made possible by the incredible community of 257 herbalists and herbal enthusiasts who came together for the summer 2024 Herbal Gathering.

Held at the beautiful Innisfree Farm and Botanic Garden in June, the 2024 Vancouver Island Herb Gathering brought attendees together for a weekend of learning, connection, and celebration of herbal wisdom.

The Wachiay Friendship Center plays a vital role in supporting Indigenous people through programs that promote well-being, cultural connection, and community development. The Vancouver Island Herb Gathering "is honoured to contribute to this mission, reinforcing a shared commitment to holistic well-being of individuals and land-based education," a release from the organization says.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, volunteered, and shared in the magic of the 2024 Gathering that made this happen," the release says. "Together, we’re cultivating not just herbal knowledge but also a stronger, more connected community in places where we gather."
