Richard Bernier will share his knowledge on how to choose and care for your indoor plants at the Comox Valley Horticultural Society meeting, on June 17.

Bernier鈥檚 gardening hobby began as a preteen when one of his elderly neighbours hired him to help weed their vegetable patch. He gardened on and off until his teens and then discovered indoor plants, where his true passion began. After moving to the coast in 1994, Richard became fascinated with the climate and developed a taste for indoor and outdoor exotic plants.

The meeting takes place at the conference hall in the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay. Doors open at 6.30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7.15 p.m.

The meeting will also be covered live on Zoom.

Advanced registration for Zoom is required for both members and non-members. Current members will receive a separate Zoom invitation. To register as a non-member, visit by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 14, as it requires two days to process. CVHS 2024 memberships are now available to purchase from the same website or download a registration form and mail it in.
