The Courtenay and District Museum has produced a new exhibit which highlights wedding dresses from the 19th and 20th centuries.
“Dressed for the Occasion” features over 15 gowns, a kimono, a button blanket, invitations, wedding gifts and more. It showcases items from the museum collection from local families like Pidcock, Lloyd, Dingwall, Robertson and Cliffe.
This gorgeous, silk and lace-laden exhibit is on display in the museum’s second-floor gallery until Aug. 26.
The Courtenay and District Museum is located at 207 Fourth Street in downtown Courtenay and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is by donation.
