It鈥檚 always nice to have visitors drop by, especially when you鈥檙e having an open house. On Thursday, June 8, L鈥橝rche Comox Valley rolled out the welcome mat at the I Belong Centre at 1465 Grieve Ave. to share what the community hub offers.
鈥淚t was amazing to talk to so many people about not just L鈥橝rche but the Valley, disability advocacy and new possibilities,鈥� said Hollee Card, community leader and executive director for L鈥橝rche Comox Valley.
A big topic was the not-for-profit鈥檚 new fundraising campaign for The Anchorage, a Courtenay housing project that will provide affordable housing to adults with developmental disabilities.
L鈥橝rche is part of a worldwide movement of inclusion for people with disabilities as full members of their community. L鈥橝rche has been in the Comox Valley since 2000.
