This weekend is Christmas in July at Courtenay's Simms Creek Park.

Everyone is invited to the Christmas in July BBQ being held Saturday July 27, 3-5 pm at Simms Memorial Park, Courtenay. The newly formed Earl Naswell Community Christmas Society is hosting this free community BBQ with help from All in One Party Shop, Ace Brewing and Sysco Foods.

"Stop by for some great burgers and hot dogs and get the Christmas Cheer started!" a release from the Earl Naswell Society says. "Christmas is only five months away!"
