The Comox Valley Community Foundation is now accepting applications on behalf of the Community Prosperity Fund, which will provide $365,000 in grant funding to drive positive change in the Comox Valley.

The Community Prosperity Fund is a $25 million investment from the Government of B.C. that advances poverty reduction and social inclusion in local communities.

The Government of B.C. recognizes that non-profits are vital to people and communities in B.C.

They are important partners, often providing services to those made vulnerable in all corners of British Columbia.

Announced on the inaugural B.C. Nonprofit Day, the Community Prosperity Fund is a unique funding structure that allows communities and organizations to decide how they use the funding.

The Comox Valley Community Foundation will ensure applications are reviewed at the local level.

The Community Prosperity Fund also responds to what the community needs by creating space to implement the funding over up to three years and supporting both operational expenses and project delivery funding.

This makes sure that non-profits can decide what would most benefit them and their communities.

Applications for the Community Prosperity Fund can be submitted until June 24.
