Families invited to Comox Valley Play Chi Ball festival Feb. 16

Family-friendly event planned for Cumberland Feb. 16

The Salt Spring Island-born game Play Chi Ball is coming to the Comox Valley.

Local residents will be able to check out the new sport and give it a try on Feb. 16 from 1-4 p.m. . The event will be at Cumberland Community School Beaufort Gym, at 2674 Windermere Ave.

"Play Chi Ball, the woven wicker handball game, is bringing its mission of spreading joy through movement and play to the Comox Valley," a release from Play Chi Ball.

Play Chi Ball captivates with its simplicity: the core rule is 'Don’t let it hit the ground... and if it does, don’t say sorry.' This simple directive underlies both casual and competitive play, fostering a fun and lighthearted atmosphere that effortlessly brings people together.

“Chi Ball is more than a game; it’s a bridge to creating meaningful connections with family, friends and strangers,” says Bradley Morris, co-founder of Play Chi Ball.
