Murray Dobbin will give a public presentation this Friday that will help you and your group develop your own unique communication strategy.Dobbin is a well-known political commentator, strategist, activist, and writer. His columns often appear in The Tyee.He will discuss strategic message framing, developing effective stories, how the corporate media works, and how to talk to reporters.Admission is by donation at 7 p.m. at the Lower Native Sons Hall.On Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Florence Filberg Seniors Lounge, Dobbin will lead a hands-on workshop to help you get your story published in newspapers, magazines, or on the Internet. You will learn how to structure a news story from an expert and learn simple aspects of self-editing in preparation for print or web.This workshop will build on the presentation given by Dobbin the previous night. The cost of this workshop is $10 with pre-registration recommended.
