Village Market Day is Cumberland’s annual street market and artisan fair featuring diverse, handmade, homemade or fair trade delights. Part of Cumberland’s Victoria Day weekend celebrations, Village Market Day is a day to celebrate the best of village life. Jewelry, locally made clothing and screen printing, toys, woodworking, pottery, glass-works, artisan liquors, fine art, cards and prints, plants and flowers, body care and baby wear, magic wands and tasty elixirs are just some of a wide reaching selection of goods being offered up on Dunsmuir in the historic village core.

Cumberland’s vibrant food scene and delicious eateries will be feeding the hungry crowds burritos, pizza, pasta, barbecue, locally crafted beer, handmade chocolates, incredible ice cream, wicked pub grub, fair trade coffees, gourmet burgers, smoothies and dragon bowls, decadent baked goods and so much more. Come hungry and discover first-hand why Cumberland’s reputation as a foodie destination is growing.

Live music on two stages will include Andrea Rose, Chad Pab, Shane Philip, Goat Boys, Rise Rose, Blaine Dunaway and many more. Geoff Berner, Kris Demeanor and Carolyn Mark will offer up a sneak peek set in Village Square, and then that night will serve up the full blown show at the Waverley Hotel.
