Fall is here, and hunters and sport shooters can check out the fall gun show at the Courtenay and District Fish and Game Protective Association building on Oct. 20.
"It's the place to be to find that special something," a release from the association says.
The show will be open at the main hall from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Oct. 20. Admission is $5 for men over 18 years old, and women and youth under 18 are free. Breakfast and lunch will also be available to purchase.
"Check out the many vendors’ tables of the buy, sell or trade displays of sporting, hunting and some historical firearms and other associated equipment," the release says.
"The show is a great opportunity to find a starting firearm for a novice hunter such as a son or daughter or grandchild. More women are taking up the various shooting sports and hunting," it continues. "This could be the opportunity to find an economical firearm."
The CDFGPA hosts a spring and fall gun show every year. More information is available by contacting Rurik Myrbo at 250-218-7139 or .
