Comox Valley Schools has announced the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Airport Elementary School, a milestone marking seven decades for this community of learners and families.

The celebration is scheduled for May 23, 1-3 p.m.

Airport Elementary invites all former students and staff to help celebrate this special occasion. To honour the 70th anniversary, the school is hosting a series of events this spring, culminating in a public celebration that will include people from throughout the school’s history who have contributed to its longstanding success.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with old classmates, reminisce about their school days, and enjoy the festivities. The event will feature some interesting historical pictures and displays from throughout the school’s history.

Prior to the public event, there will be a private barbecue lunch for current students and staff.

Join SD 71 as it celebrates 70 years of reaching for the stars at the school. Airport Elementary is looking forward to welcoming the community to this special event and stepping into the next chapter of the school’s journey together.
