The Glacier View Lodge is one step closer - one very big step closer - to purchasing an accessible van, thanks to a huge donation from the Comox Valley Healthcare Auxiliary.

Representatives from the CVHA recently dropped off a $75,000 cheque to Glacier View Lodge executive director, Debbie Smethurst.

鈥淲e are extremely grateful to the Comox Valley Healthcare Auxiliary for their donation, representing half of the cost of the vehicle,鈥� said Liz Friis, director of resident lifestyle and community programs at GVL. 鈥淲e also extend our thanks to Peninsula Co-op for their $10,000 gift and to all those who have donated towards the Glacier View Lodge 2023 Legacy of Light campaign.
