Comox Legion hosting luncheon for all veterans

The Royal Canadian Legion Comox Branch 160 invites all veterans to a luncheon at the Comox Legion (1825 Comox Ave., Comox), at noon on Friday, Nov. 3.

The purpose of the luncheon is to honour our veterans for their service to our country and remember those who have passed on.

Spouses and caregivers are also welcome.

Anyone interested in attending is asked to respond no later than Oct. 26 by signing up at the Beaufort Ave. Pub at the Comox Legion or calling 250-339-2112, or by contacting Bob Hodgson at curlew1@telus.net or phone 778-585-6732.

Please provide the branch of service in which you served and a contact number or email. Seating is limited so early response is recommended.

Dress will be ‘Uniform (Legion or military) with medals or jacket/tie.

Be prepared to introduce yourself at the luncheon.

Who is invited?

This invite is extended to all Canadian veterans.

The Legion’s definition of a veteran is as follows: ”A veteran is any person who is serving or who has honourably served in the Canadian Armed Forces, the Commonwealth or its wartime allies, or as a regular member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or a peace officer in a Special Duty Area or on a Special Duty Operation, or who has served in the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command during wartime.”
