Town of Comox wants the public's feedback on its final draft of parks and trails.

The Town of Comox is inviting the public to review its draft Parks and Trails Master Plan and provide feedback over the next few weeks.

The draft plan, now in its final stage, reflects input gathered through a comprehensive public engagement process that began in spring 2024. It's now being shared with the broader community and interest groups for final feedback.

“Reaching this stage, where we can share our first comprehensive draft plan that speaks to the future of our parks and trails, is an achievement. We appreciate the community’s engagement in shaping the document as it reads today,” said Comox Mayor Nicole Minions. “There’s still time to ensure we have your input and that the plan provides a collaborative direction for Comox.”

Residents are encouraged to review the draft plan and share their thoughts through an online feedback form, which will remain open until April 8, 2025. All input will be reviewed and considered before the plan is finalized and presented to the Town Council for adoption later this spring.

Comox’s current parks and trails system includes 35 parks, approximately 37 kilometres of trails, and a total of 143 hectares of park space. The draft plan outlines strategies for future improvements, ensuring these valued community spaces continue to meet the needs of residents.
