The event will be at the Black Creek United Mennonite Church, 2277 Enns Road.

A ladies group in Black Creek is hoping to help warm people up this winter with a blanket blitz.

The Harmony Hearts is a group of ladies in black creek, affiliated with the United Mennonite Church. The group meets every Friday morning to make comforters and blankets, which are then sent to a warehouse in Abbotsford, and then around the world through the Mennonite Central Committee.

On Feb. 22, the group hopes to blitz their way through some blankets, and are inviting people in the community to come lend a hand.

A release says the goal is "to see how many blankets we can tie and send away.

"No experience or supplies are required, you just need a desire to  serve and a heart to give back," the release from the group says. "Come for an hour, come for the day or just come for lunch."

"Many hands make more blankets!" it says "All are welcome!"
