Jani Martinius is a carpenter’s apprentice who has started a business selling high quality workwear out of Comox.

The young entrepreneur knew how difficult it was to find dura- ble and comfortable workwear that also looks good. But that all changed when Jani returned to her job at the new hospital site after visiting family in Germany. She had a pair of pants unlike workwear traditionally sold in Canada. They were a hit with co-workers — and Panther Workwear was born.

“It is wonderful to see peo- ple wear their new pants with pride; even the guys get really quite excited,” Jani said. “Who says you can’t look spiffy while working on a job site?”

She carries a few different styles of pants and jackets, with a wider variety to come in the fall.

The pants can be worn on a construction site, adventur- ing in the forest, or, in Jani’s case, when out and about in the Comox Valley with her dog Noah.

The website and online shop can be found at www.panther- workwear.ca and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pantherworkwear/
