Long-time Comox Valley residents have witnessed many changes within their community over the decades. Parks and green spaces have emerged, residential developments have flourished and landmarks of the past (such as Fields Sawmill, Farquharson Farms or Lorne Hotel) are slowly evolving to reflect a new face for our community.
Twenty years ago, Odlum Brown Limited opened its doors to offer investment management and financial services to residents. Since opening, the office in Courtenay has grown from two employees to six, with continued expansion in its sights. The business has sponsored a local Boys and Girls Club, the Sid Williams Theatre, the Perseverance Trail Run, and the Comox Valley Community Foundation.
There have been many changes within the investment industry over the past 20 years. Fortunately for clients, the firm remains independent and employee-owned, and their commitment to core values of integrity and sound investment advice has not wavered.
“Odlum Brown’s success was built on integrity and commitment to our clients and I am very proud to be a part of a devoted team who continues to understand the importance of making our clients’ needs our priority,” said Janine Martin, the vice-president and portfolio manager and branch manager of Odlum Brown’s Courtenay office.
