International hair stylist opens innovative salon in Courtenay

Claude Bigler will soon open a hair salon in downtown Courtenay

Internationally renowned hairstylist and businessman/trainer Claude Bigler will soon open a hair salon in downtown Courtenay with a twist: it will provide his clients with a state-of-the-art facility and offer spaces for up to six young stylists who want to learn from one of the top professionals in the field.

Claude will offer mentoring in contemporary hair styling and provide seminars on how to build and maintain a successful business.

“If stylists wanted to be taught about hair cutting of this calibre, they would have to travel and spend hundreds of dollars for just one seminar," he said. "I am providing this as part of their ongoing chair rental.”

Stylists will be able to choose from three levels of chair rental within the salon: the Top Chair which includes a retail station where the stylist can promote and sell products, a chair rental without retail or a chair rental to share with another colleague. In each case training and mentoring are included.

Contact Bigler at 778-992-0029.
