A car crashed into the downtown Courtenay business in September.

The Courtenay business that was damaged when a car crashed into it on Sept. 11 is moving towards re-opening in the coming weeks.

Design Therapy has been located in downtown Courtenay for 40 years. Owner Jenny Deters said that the business would be re-opening soon after construction is complete.

“It was so scary when it happened. Honestly I think we were all just in shock. We are just so grateful that no one was hurt,” Deters said.

“We’ve had many people wondering if we are closed for good,” Deters added. “But we want our customers to know that we will be back again very soon and better than ever! In the meantime our team is working from home offering design services including home consultations, placing orders and delivering furniture as usual.”

Plans are in the works to celebrate the re-opening of Design Therapy once construction is complete.

“We are so grateful for the overwhelming community support we have received.” Deters said.

For more information about the reopening of Design Therapy and all other inquiries, please contact Deters at jenny@designtherapyhome.ca.
