ISFELD STUDENTS are grateful to Ford Country for contributing to the school's 2001 dry grad.

Two Courtenay schools joined forces with local car dealership Ford Country last month to raise over $5,000 for the schools’ dry grad events this summer.

Mark R. Isfeld Secondary’s Drive One 4 UR School event was held on school premises. Hundreds of supporters test-drove their favourite Ford, helping to raise $4,200 for the school.

G.P. Vanier Secondary held its event at Ford Country, raising over $1,000 with the support of the community. Ford Country and Canada of Ford Limited donated $20 to each school for every car that was test-driven.

Ford Country will also award a $500 scholarship to Isfeld for raising the most money through their Drive One event. It will be awarded at graduation ceremonies at the end of June.
