WestJet’s non-stop summer service to Toronto returns to the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) on June 24.

The Saturday non-stop flight complements the multiple daily options to access WestJet’s network connecting through the Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton hubs.

“Non-stop service really benefits visitors travelling between Canada’s largest city and our community, bringing Toronto within mere hours of our airport,” said YQQ CEO Mike Atkins. “We expect this summer to be a very busy one and I encourage travellers to book early to ensure the best fares and route options.”

Air Canada’s summer schedule has also increased, with additional flights providing more frequency to Vancouver.

“We are fortunate to enjoy increased service from both of our main carriers again this summer,” said Atkins. “More frequency provides better connections, helping travellers on their way to worldwide destinations. This is also the first summer we have café service in the passenger lounge, providing food and beverages for purchase post security, which is sure to be appreciated for those travelling.”

Non-stop Toronto service on WestJet will fly Saturdays commencing June 24th, with multiple options for one-stop connection via four hubs. Increased summer service from Air Canada is arriving just in time for vacation season on July 1.
